OUR EXPECTATIONS
We expect the following from our members: 1) attendance at the Annual COAAB Congress in Atlanta, Georgia; attendance fulfills our requirement for continuing education hours for our clergy; 2) monthly financial support to the Communion as you are able; each member should be sowing into the Communion with at least a minimum of $40 a month or more; 3) a filled out Annual Ministerial Report turned in by September 1st; in lieu of a credential fee, the full communion member is expected to register for the COAAB Congress each year; failure to do so and attend will result in a fee to renew credentials of $200 including proof of what you have done to advance your education ie., continuing education hours, etc.; 4) attendance as you are able at regional and national events; 5) shared and joint participation with your talents and gifts in the life of the Communion; 6) prayers offered for the Archbishop and the Executive Leadership and the Bishops; 7) maintaining the ethos of the Communion; 8) celebrate the sacraments regularly; and 9) advancing the Kingdom of God through mission, evangelism and church planting as often as possible.
We stress that we believe in a joint and shared communion between the Apostolic Communion of Churches, and the churches and ministries affiliated with it. Churches are affiliated with us through their pastors with the Archbishop being their diocesan bishop or through a bishop in the Communion, and a diocese in the Communion.
We expect all churches and dioceses to accede to the doctrine, discipline, and worship of Christ as received by the Apostolic Communion of Churches. They will acknowledge the Archbishop's ministry and agree to be submitted to pastoral ministry and general superintendency to the same. The Holy Scriptures say let all powers be subject to higher powers.
Churches and dioceses acknowledge that their clergy must have standing in the Communion once they join us. They must meet our ministerial standards and have a certain level of biblical and ecclesial knowledge to operate in ministry among us.
